Enter Into Peace was established in 1996 by writer and artist Dawud Wharnsby as a music publishing entity for his poetry and songs. Over a decade later, Enter Into Peace continues to administrate Dawud’s music, while having grown into a multidimensional platform promoting artistic expression as a means of inspiring positive social change.
The philosophy of Enter Into Peace can be summed up best through its mission statement, "Bridging nations and tribes through education and the arts."
Projects through Enter Into Peace are directly managed by Wharnsby, alongside a small entourage of free-lance artists sharing his passion for a grassroots approach to music production and distribution. The Enter Into Peace network of artists and production houses is world-wide. Album tracking has occurred in several countries including Canada, Dubai, Pakistan, South Africa, The United Kingdom and in numerous states of the USA, at the hands of many diverse and supportive engineers - all managing their own private recording studios. Session musicians have been utilized from various faith communities, cultures, countries and all degrees of musical accomplishment - from Grammy and Juno Award winning artists, to child poets seeking a soapbox for songs they've written at school (one of the most popular songs published through Enter Into Peace - making its way into schools world-wide - was written by a four year old boy!)
Royalties generated through projects produced by Dawud Wharnsby and Enter Into Peace are put directly back into further production, re-directed to certain participating artists and utilized in a trust fund for children's educational efforts.
